Music, theater, dance, opera: Versilia’s artistic season is just about to start

Festival Pucciniano
A night at the Opera – Festival Pucciniano

Summer nights in Versilia have always been known for their sparkling nightlife, trendy places, elegant walks and exclusive shopping, but also for a cultural agenda and a list of shows that have nothing to envy to those of the main European cities.
La Versiliana has always been considered the star of summer in Versilia, because it offers everyone many opportunities for a “smart and clever” entertainment.
On afternoons, you have “Incontri al Caffè”, where writers, politicians, journalists, scientists, academics and show people talk to their public about culture, current affairs and their activities. “Versiliana dei Piccoli” organizes play activities for children. And, of course, performing arts find their place in “Spettacoli al Teatro Grande”, the open air theatre where dance performances, concerts, musicals and theater plays are staged and that presents this year an unmissable program.
Opera and “bel canto” lovers will enjoy the Puccini Festival, presenting this summer its 64th edition; the setting is the suggestive open-air theater on the Lake Massaciuccoli, where the works of the great Maestro Giacomo Puccini are staged: from La Bohème to Turandot, from Madama Butterfly to Manon Lescaut, from Il Trittico to Tosca.
Music and theater lovers will also find interesting events at Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi.
And Lucca Summer Festival will offer an incredible program to those who love concerts : from Ringo Star to Roger Waters, from Gorillaz to Nick Cave, from Lenny Kravitz to James Taylor, from Norah Jones to Hollywood Vampires.
